BLH Computers Inc. is your number one source for recycling electronics in Illinois. We are the largest computer recycling facility in the area with a 20,000 sq. ft. facility. Each year our recycling service processes over 1.8 million pounds of recycling. You can rely on our environmentally responsible facility to easily handle all of your computer and electronic recycling needs. We also provide virus removal, computer repair including computer screen repair and computer sales including laptop sales.

How to Recycle with BLH Computers

  • Drop Offs: For residents it is requested that you check with a store location near you prior to bringing in your recycling. For business’s please see ‘Business Accounts’ below.
  • Pick Ups: We do not offer any residential pick up service, if you are business and would like to schedule a pickup, please see ‘Business Accounts’ below.
  • Business Accounts: For business accounts, contact Mark Stevens for an inbound service order number. You may send an email to mark@blhcomputers.com or call (309) 826-5201.

Recycling with a fee

Certain items we can recycle but have a fee in order to do so. These items include:
    • CRT Monitors – $10
    • CRT Televisions – $20
    • Flat-screen Televisions – $20
    • Projection Televisions – $40
    • Console Television – $40
    BLH Computers has a recycling program with the following area’s:
    • Christian County – All items free, no fees for any electronic recycling
    • City of Springfield – 3 chargeable items are covered per household per calendar year
  • NOTE: The Jacksonville store can only accept CRT devices with a screen size 27 inches diagonally or less. No restrictions for flat-screen tv’s. Unaccepted items can be taken to our Springfield location. Same fees and guidelines apply.
  • *Per State Regulations, residents are entitled to a voucher for any money paid to drop off recycling
  • BLH Taylorville is unable to assist with carrying in recycling. If you require help please bring it with you.

What We DO NOT Recycle

    • Air conditioning units
    • Alkaline Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc…)
    • Audio and Video Cassettes
    • Bathroom devices (ie. electric razors, toothbrushes, etc.)
    • Broken TVs (broken glass or otherwise dismantled)
    • Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detectors
    • CDs and DVDs
    • Gas Powered Tools
    • General rubbish
    • Glass, Christmas Light Bulbs, etc
    • Lamps/Light bulbs
    • Lava Lamps
    • Live ammunition
    • Mercury Thermometers
    • Microwaves, toasters, and other small kitchen appliances
    • Needles of any sort
    • Pre-lit Christmas trees
    • Pressurized canisters of any kind
    • Refrigerators, stoves, and other large appliances
