Recycling with a Fee
- CRT/LCD Monitors: $10
- CRT or ‘Tube’ Televisions: $20
- Flat-screen (LCD/Plasma) Televisions: $20
- Projection Televisions: $40

- Anything with Freon like Air Conditioners/Dehumidifiers
- Kitchen or Bathroom items
- Appliances
- Adhesives, Paints, Chemicals of any kind
- Aerosol cans
- Alkaline Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc…)
- Audio and Video Media (8Track /LaserDisc/ Cassette/ VHS/ CD/ DVD/ HD-DVD/ BluRay)
- Bathroom devices (ie. electric razors, toothbrushes, etc.)
- Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detectors
- Dehumidifiers
- Gas Powered Tools
- General rubbish
- Glass
- Lamps/Light bulbs and Lava Lamps
- Live ammunition
- Mercury Thermometers
- Microwaves, toasters, and other small kitchen appliances
- Needles of any sort
- Pre-lit Christmas trees
- Pressurized canisters of any kind
- Radioactive material

TV/Monitor Recycling Programs
The following programs are sponsored by local governments, allowing residents to recycle TVs and monitors free of charge if they live in qualified areas. Residency verification (Valid Photo ID or Driver’s License) at time of drop-off is required to see if your residence qualifies for these programs.
Christian County, IL
Residents can recycle all accepted items free of charge, with no limits on quantity* or type.
Springfield, IL
Qualified Residents can recycle up to 3 TVs or monitors per household, per calendar year, for free.
Jacksonville, IL
These programs reflect our commitment to making recycling accessible and convenient for our community. If your area doesn’t have a recycling program, we encourage you to contact your local city or county office to inquire about joining our Recycling Events. Together, we can expand these valuable services and contribute to a more sustainable future.
